About the Role
We’re building our risk operations in the US, and we’re looking for a world-class operator eager to make an impact in this role. As a founding member of the US leadership team, you will have a unique opportunity to build a best-in-class program that directly supports a seamless and frictionless client experience while reducing risk exposure and protecting against fraud loss.
Responsibilities:
Manage daily fraud and transaction monitoring operations for Rho, ensuring key service levels and performance goals are met.
Create and implement key performance metrics to effectively track team progress and performance. Conduct regular quality reviews, auditing case handling, and process adherence to maintain high-standard operations.
Identify and prevent fraudulent activity through the analysis of fraud alerts and cases.
Conduct transaction monitoring reviews for AML/BSA risk, escalating findings, and preparing reports in line with regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with the Fraud team and internal stakeholders (Client Services, Financial Operations, Compliance, etc.) to enhance operations.
Perform root cause analyses on individual fraud event vectors through deep dives.
Leverage analytical skills to identify trends that can lead to improved risk management or operational efficiency.
Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in Fraud Risk, AML/BSA programs, and payments operations
1-3 years of experience in People Leadership, Hiring, and Managing teams
Experience in high-growth startups, specifically global fintechs and/or neobanks for corporate clients
Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Looker
Experience using systems such as Excel, Google Workspace, Looker, and Slack
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently, capable of taking ownership and acting as the primary contact for fraud-related issues when needed
Familiarity with Compliance and Payment Regulations, including Reg E, NACHA, AML/BSA, KYC/CIP, OFAC, FinCEN, and related frameworks.
Nice to Have
Certifications such as CAMS, CFE, or CFCS
Experience with SQL queries
Experience within Micro SMB/SMB Business Cards, Payments, Invoices, Lending, or related Financial Industries
Experience with U.S. fraud payments risk for ACH, Card, Checks, and Wires with a Global or Large Financial Institution, and key understanding of common Fraud Typologies
Our people are our most valuable asset. The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $120,000. Base salary may vary depending on relevant experience, skills, and business needs. In addition to base pay, Rho offers equity, healthcare benefits, and paid time off.
