WHO WE ARE
We’re not in the wing business. We’re in the flavor business. It’s been our mission to Serve the World Flavor since we first opened in 1994, and we’re just getting started. 1997 saw the opening of our first brand partner operated Wingstop location, and by 2002 we had served the world one billion wings. It’s flavor that defines us and has made Wingstop one of the fastest growing brands in the restaurant industry.
Above all else – our success is largely due to our people and our core values, or what we call The Wingstop Way of being entrepreneurial, service-minded, fun, and authentic. We believe having a strong people foundation centered on these collective values creates a crave-worthy culture and talented team, as well as ensures our brand is poised for accelerated growth. We all win together.
WHAT WE’LL NEED
We are seeking a Franchise Business Manager (FBM) who will influence and directly impact franchised Wingstop restaurants to drive sustainable growth and deliver on key business objectives.
In this role, you will serve as the primary strategic advisor for your portfolio of franchisees, with clear accountability for operational excellence, sales performance, P&L results, and long-term franchise success. You will build trusted, credible relationships with franchise partners, leveraging data-driven insights and strong commercial acumen to counsel them on opportunities to grow sales, improve profitability, and optimize restaurant performance, while ensuring the Wingstop brand experience remains uncompromised. Success in this role requires the ability to influence without authority, earning the trust of franchisees to drive meaningful improvements across key performance indicators, including same-store sales, guest experience, speed of service, and overall operational excellence.
Key responsibilities:
Operate like the CEO of your portfolio, owning its business performance, health and P&L – driving accountability for both revenue growth and profitability.
Partner with Brand Partners to improve restaurant profitability through labor optimization, productivity improvements, and effective cost management.
Build trusted, credible relationships with Business Partners by demonstrating sound judgment, commercial expertise, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
Influence and coach Business Partners to adopt strategies that improve sales, profitability, and operational execution through strong partnership rather than authority.
- Establish credibility as a strategic advisor by combining data-driven insights with an understanding of the business, enabling meaningful progress and long-term success.
Foster open communication and trust with cross-functional stakeholders, creating alignment and driving sustained business performance.
Serve as the primary liaison between Wingstop Restaurants Inc. and Brand Partners, ensuring effective and timely two-way communication.
Travel regularly to Brand Partner restaurants to ensure operational excellence, provide coaching, and protect the brand across operations, facilities, marketing, training, purchasing, and development.
Analyze business performance using data and dashboards; partner with Brand Partners to identify opportunities and build strategic plans that drive sustained growth and profitability.
Lead Quarterly Business Reviews with Brand Partners to align on goals, ensure accountability, and track progress towards results.
Anticipate challenges and exercise sound judgment to recommend solutions, make timely decisions, and influence outcomes that strengthen restaurant operations and overall business results.
Ensure adherence to brand standards and franchise agreements across your region.
Champion best practices and share learnings across the region to elevate performance.
Act as a Wingstop culture champion and brand ambassador.
Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Frequent use of a computer and other technology essential to everyday role responsibilities.
High stamina to travel up to 75%, work extended hours as needed, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to manage travel effectively, ensuring adherence to Wingstop travel policies.
- Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects while maintaining urgency and quality.
- 5–10+ years of multi-unit restaurant operations leadership experience.

- Experience developing high-performing restaurant leadership teams.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and drive change in a developing or emerging market environment.
- Experience supporting new market launches, market expansion, or restaurant development activities preferred.
WHO YOU ARE
No job is too small. You recognize that the real work happens in the restaurants, and everything we do should support their success. You stay humble, roll up your sleeves, and always look for ways to support. You learn from others and contribute wherever you can.
You care deeply about doing great work and driving results. You’re curious, ask questions, and seek out opportunities to improve. You don’t just point out problems—you bring solutions, ideas, and perspectives that move the team forward.
You take full responsibility for your work and see things through to completion. You aren’t afraid to fail because you know that failure is a part of learning and growth. You take action, move fast, and keep pushing forward.
You lead with empathy, respect, and emotional intelligence. You collaborate effectively, fostering a culture of trust and constructive feedback. You understand the importance of teamwork and ensure that your actions build others up rather than break them down.
