You will play a central part in organising and operating a high performing and multi-disciplined team whose mission is to get the latest and greatest games ready for release and beyond.
You’ll have a passion to get things right, organisational ability, excellent attention to detail, a thorough approach, great people skills, and enjoy working with colleagues to meet challenging deadlines. Having proven yourself on the test floor and in a prior leadership role, you’ll be showing others how to achieve the same success, and liaising directly with clients to ensure that all test activities are conducted with the client’s needs as focus.

As a Project Manager you’re trusted to fully own and operate multiple projects with some of the world’s biggest names. You will be organised, focussed, independent, guaranteeing smooth delivery day after day through resource and equipment management, financial control, personnel management, and fully dynamic client engagement. Working with other Project Managers and the Head of FQA you’ll help grow projects, build Universally Speaking’s reputation, and help establish our front in the marketplace.

You will be responsible for our entire PST shift (5pm to 1:30am Madrid local time), running projects across Spain and the UK simultaneously for some of biggest names in gaming.


Requirements
  • Have outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Able to write accurate, unambiguous, and concise documentation.
  • Naturally adept at engaging with a variety of clients and building strong relationships.
  • Established experience managing a diverse team of people.
  • Extensive experience in Quality Assurance practice, and able to articulate and apply those insights for the betterment of client projects.
  • Thorough knowledge of testing formats (FQA, CQA, Compatibility, UAT and more)
  • Knowledge of QA Tools, SDKs, VR/AR platforms, TRCFs, first-party platform requirements and other standards that affect the FQA service.
  • Can negotiate with intelligence and pragmatism.
  • Are a quick learner and highly adaptable.
  • Are an excellent team player, with the ability to work under pressure within tight deadlines by organising and making best use of your teams.
  • Have strong empathy and conflict resolution skills, able to help your people resolve interpersonal issues before they arise.
  • Are pro-active, tenacious, and enthusiastic.
  • Understanding of basic accountancy, able to answer questions about financial status of projects and understand the impact decisions make on financial outcomes.
  • Are capable of self-organising, taking on daily tasks without needing intervention or support.
  • Can Lead by example, getting stuck in and showing your team the way when required.
  • Coaching and mentoring ability, able to help others progress and develop.
  • Have excellent Microsoft Office skills, for example being able to process data heavy Excel sheets to find reliable intelligence.
  • Are reliable and able to raise and promote consistent standards in yourself and others.
  • Are reliable and able to maintain work to Universally Speaking’s best practices.
