FP&A Specialist

The role as Finance Business Partner (FBP) within our Gojek (On-Demand Services) under FP&A team. The main role is business partnering to support our functional stakeholders and driver decision making related with Operating Expenditure (OPEX) goals. The scope of works are (1) Business partnering with several functional partners such as Region & Sales, Drivers, Risk and Legal teams to support them with BvA analysis, any financial impact and preparation of monthly business review (2) Preparation of BAU report regularly on timely manner such as closing accruals, preliminary, BvA and any ad-hoc for total OPEX (3) Initiatives to simplify with automation mindset for day-to-day works and well-documented for any SOP and timeline (important dates) on preparing report. The challenges in these roles are catching-up with the timeline on regular reports, managing business partners and fully understanding finance logic on P&L and financial impact. The impact for the first 6-months are (1) strong and fully understanding of financial impact and (2) give insight from reports such as BvA, prelim, closing tacker and any other reports.

What You Will Do

• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and accounting teams to ensure the correctness of financial information such as function costs, accruals, and overall OPEX cost.
• Collect supporting documentation from various business stakeholders to support month end close activities and review function PR/POs to ensure expenses are in line with forecasts/budgets, and to support business needs.
• Support the preparation of recurring financial reports such as pre-close analysis, monthly BvAs, flux analysis that used to assess business performance.
• Produce ad-hoc analysis to support business performance management and decision making processes.
• Support functional teams in preparing rolling forecasts and the annual budgets and planning process, including deliverables such as bottoms up build and scenario analysis.
• Be able to communicate/present in regular cadences (such as monthly BvAs) the functions financial results and other analysis to internal stakeholders of varying levels of seniority.
• Support the continuous assessment and improvement of financial processes to ensure improved efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide support to business stakeholders to navigate financial processes and requirements.

What You Will Need

• 2-3 years of FP&A or accounting experience and strong understanding of financial statements with degree level qualification in Accounting or Business of study.
• Good financial modeling skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word); Comfortable working with large volumes of numbers and formulas; Proficiency in Google Sheets, Docs, and Slides is a plus.
• Good communication and language skills in Bahasa and English (written and spoken)
• Confident and comfortable facing, influencing, and getting buy-in from counterparts, end-users, and other stakeholders in day-to-day activities
• Attention to detail with high standards for quality and accuracy in results.
• A desire to work in a fast-paced environment with a dedicated commitment.
• A self-motivator for learning, problem-solving, and deep-diving into complex concepts.
• Willingness to work on big data and foundational administrative skills, fluent data, documentation and have initiatives for digital transformation.

About the Team

OPEX team consists of 3 people that work closely to drive and manage target OPEX to achieve the EBITDA target. By joining the OPEX team, the person will have exposure to other functions that she/he manages and gain new knowledge about the operation on those teams. As a business partner itself will sharpening the critical thinking and how to communicate well with other people to drive the business.
