Overview of Function, Team, and Role

Assists with financial analysis, forecasting/budgeting, operational/metric analysis, business partnering, and ad hoc reporting.  

Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join our AMER FP&A Team. The ideal candidate will assist in generating reports and manipulating large datasets, utilizing strong analytical skills to support financial analysis. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in finance and data analysis within a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports, including budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Manipulate and analyze large datasets using Excel and other data analysis tools to identify trends and insights.
• Support the finance team in data entry, reconciliation, and reporting tasks.
• Collaborate with members to streamline reporting processes and improve data accuracy.
• Conduct research and gather data to support financial modeling and analysis.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and manipulate large datasets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data visualization).
• Tableau Prep or Power BI desirable
• Familiarity with financial reporting and analysis concepts is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
