Job Summary
The Junior Financial Analyst will join the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team and will serve the needs of internal customers by providing timely and accurate data/reporting and supporting the analysis and reporting of financial data, assisting in the budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes for the Company.
This role will facilitate proactive communication to and from our internal customers to maintain the most current levels of information and reporting. You may be assigned other duties to help proactively drive the company’s vision and align with our organization’s strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support management in the Financial Planning process of the Company including the collection and analysis of financial data from various sources, including but not limited to the consolidation, analysis, and presentation of financials, annual budget, and forecasts.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and variances.
- Review accounting transactions for data accuracy.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes (review of accruals, preparation of journal entries, incentive calculations for sales agents, etc.).
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of financial models.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather data and provide insights.
- Help maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
Competency
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required; MBA is a plus
- 1-2 years of experience in a finance role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; financial modeling is a plus
- Prior experience with financial software (Microsoft D365, Tableau, Oracle, SAP) is preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills combined with excellent attention to detail
- Have an entrepreneurial mindset and self-starter mentality and be comfortable with a degree of ambiguity, working with manual processes, and finding creative solutions using new tools or approaches where needed
- Team player with strong communication skills to coordinate with team members, management, and operational teams
- Organizational and time management skills to start and finish tasks successfully, while being able to multitask and manage competing priorities with confidence and composure
- Good judgment and communication skills
- Confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information
