The Role

As an FP&A Associate, reporting to the VP of FP&A, your responsibilities will include preparing accurate monthly financial reports and assist in preparing monthly presentations conveying thoughtful analysis and insights to upper management. This will include coordinating meetings across the Organization to address monthly reviews and/or specific initiatives. You will also play an integral part of the budget preparation and collaboration, as well as updating the monthly forecasts through collaboration across various finance teams and departments.

Responsibilities 

  • Provide FP&A support in different tasks related to financial analysis, management reporting, forecasting and budgeting, variance analysis, preparation of Excel KPI dashboards and PowerPoint management presentations.  
  • Understand business KPIs and how they are tracked and measured; constantly and autonomously propose, develop, and implement initiatives to improve KPI tracking and forecasting.  
  • Identify and research variances to forecast, budget, and prior-year revenue and expenses, and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.  
  • Partner autonomously with the wider finance team and other departments on business performance reviews and cost savings initiatives. 
  • Work on different projects and initiatives that could be needed across the different business areas. 
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of experience in finance and accounting or a related area. 
  • Strong knowledge of accounting/financial/operational metrics and principles. 
  • Experience analyzing large datasets and developing financial reports. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to proficiently interact with various management levels. 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong can-do attitude, self-starter, and ability to work with minimal guidance and supervision. Eager to learn and progress in the organization.  
  • Superior attention to detail and ability to successfully manage multiple priorities / deadlines.  
  • Strong Excel modeling, Word, and PowerPoint skills; experience with NetSuite or other accounting/planning tool is a strong plus.
