What’s the role
The Reporting & Accounting Senior Manager is accountable for ensuring the effective delivery of reporting and accounting activities that support internal and external reporting requirements, business appraisal processes and financial decision-making. The role leads complex reporting operations, drives process improvements and ensures the quality, integrity and timeliness of financial reporting outputs.
The role partners closely with Reporting & Accounting Managers, Finance Leadership, Group Reporting and other finance stakeholders to strengthen reporting effectiveness, resolve reporting issues and improve end-to-end reporting processes. The role is expected to lead transformation initiatives, develop finance talent and embed best practices that enhance reporting quality, operational performance and financial stewardship.
The ideal candidate is an experienced reporting and accounting leader who combines strong technical expertise with operational leadership and continuous improvement capability. They are comfortable managing complex reporting environments, driving transformation and developing finance talent while maintaining high standards of governance, control and delivery excellence. They build trusted stakeholder relationships, solve complex reporting challenges and inspire teams to achieve sustainable performance and continuous improvement.
What you will be doing
Lead reporting and accounting delivery: Ensure high-quality execution of reporting and accounting activities supporting internal and external financial reporting requirements.
Drive reporting excellence: Maintain the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of reporting outputs while ensuring compliance with accounting standards, governance requirements and reporting policies.
Lead transformation and improvement initiatives: Manage and deliver change programmes that enhance reporting effectiveness, simplify processes and improve finance performance.
Partner with reporting and finance leaders: Work closely with Reporting & Accounting Managers, Group Reporting and finance stakeholders to align priorities and improve reporting outcomes.
Resolve complex reporting issues: Provide expert guidance on reporting content, accounting matters and process challenges to ensure consistent and high-quality delivery.
Strengthen financial governance and controls: Ensure reporting activities operate within established control, assurance and compliance frameworks.
Develop finance capability: Coach and develop reporting and accounting professionals, strengthening technical capability, leadership effectiveness and future readiness.
Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing: Promote best practice adoption, cross-team collaboration and continuous learning across the reporting and accounting community.
