The FP&A Senior Functional Cost Analyst is responsible for financial planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis of assigned global functional cost areas (e.g., G&A, IT, HR, Finance, Legal, HQ, or other centrally managed functions). The role partners closely with functional leaders to drive cost transparency, disciplined forecasting, and decision-oriented insights, ensuring alignment with financial targets and strategic priorities.
This position reports to the Finance Director, HQ FP&A and is part of the broader HQ FP&A organization located in Budapest, Hungary and will be an on-site role.
What you will do:
- Support the monthly financial close process, including accruals, validation of actual results, variance analysis, system reconciliation, and compliance with SOX controls.
- Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and expense planning activities in collaboration with global business partners and cross-functional teams.
- Delivers actionable analytics, executive reports, and dashboards; tracks cost efficiency and savings to support performance management.
- Partner closely with the India COE team to provide insightful business analysis, ensure accurate cost accounting, and support financial decision-making. Serve as a trusted finance advisor to senior business leaders on budget management and forecasting activities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by simplifying, standardizing, and automating financial processes, reporting, and day-to-day operations.
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 4–5+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, accounting, auditing, or other data-driven business roles.
- Solid understanding of cost accounting, variance analysis and forecasting.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, with strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to translate financial insights into actionable business recommendations.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Familiarity with ERP and FP&A systems (e.g., OneStream, Qlik, SAP, Oracle).
- Proactive, independent, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
- Experience working in a global, matrix organization.
