Advanced Products & Solutions (APS)—a Strategic Business Unit (SBU) within Raytheon—is seeking a motivated finance professional to lead strategy and investment oversight for the APS portfolio. This individual will manage a team of two analysts and partner closely with the Finance Strategy Lead, FP&A Director, and ultimately the APS CFO. This Finance Manager role is a key member of the FP&A organization, supporting the APS leadership team and CFO to drive informed decision-making and optimize performance across the enterprise.

What You Will Do:

  • Manage current-year investments, including Capital, New Business Investment (NBI), Independent Research and Development (IRAD), Overhead, Inventory, and Contract Financing Requests (CFR).
  • Conduct burn rate analyses, partnering with functional teams to monitor performance and support the execution of quarterly Estimate at Completion (EAC) processes.
  • Prepare and present quarterly investment reviews and develop ad hoc financial analyses and reports for leadership.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Appropriation Requests for Inventory (ARI), ensuring compliance with company policies and streamlining related processes.
  • Lead the Long-Range Plan (LRP) process, including development of the planning calendar, cross-functional coordination, and risk and opportunity (R&O) analysis.
  • Provide financial support to Advanced Products & Solutions (APS) functional leadership, including Research & Development (R&D), Technical Director, and Strategy teams.
  • Manage and update the MSP Pool and perform balance sheet analyses, including unbilled receivables, billed Construction in Progress (CIP), and inventory.
  • Mentor and develop team members, contributing to knowledge sharing and the overall growth of the finance organization.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree (e.g., Master’s or MBA) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with one or more of the following: Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), Program Controls (Cost and/or Schedule), or the Estimate at Completion (EAC) process.
  • Experience with SAP business systems, including Business Warehouse (BW) toolsets, or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms.
  • Experience organizing, preparing, and/or delivering briefings to management or senior leadership.

  • Experience adapting to changing priorities, complemented by excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Remote: This position currently is designated as remote. Employees who are working in remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home) but may be expected to travel to the site location as needed. The successful candidate for this role will be required to reside and work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. territories).

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
