What You'll Do:
- Strategic Business Partnering: Serve as the primary financial partner to the CMO and the Marketing leadership team, providing strategic insights and recommendations to support business growth and achieve financial targets.
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead the annual budgeting, long-range planning, and monthly forecasting processes for the global Marketing organization.
- Performance Reporting & Analysis: Develop and maintain robust financial models and reporting to track key marketing metrics, including pipeline generation, spend efficiency, Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), and Return on Marketing Investment (ROMI).
- Ad-Hoc Analysis: Conduct complex ad-hoc financial analyses to support strategic initiatives, evaluate new programs, and inform critical business decisions.
- Executive & Board Reporting: Prepare high-quality presentations and financial summaries for executive leadership, the Board of Directors, and private equity sponsors, ensuring clarity, precision, and adherence to tight deadlines.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to improve financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the Marketing finance function.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other FP&A teams, Accounting, Sales, and other departments to ensure alignment and consistency in financial reporting and analysis.
What You Will Bring to Coupa:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, with a portion dedicated to supporting marketing organizations in a fast-paced, high-growth technology company.
- Proven track record of strategic business partnering with executive-level stakeholders.
- Expert-level financial modeling and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Experience working with private equity sponsors or in a highly acquisitive environment is a strong plus.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly and concisely to both financial and non-financial audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality work with precision under tight deadlines.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with the financial planning software Anaplan is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
