Team Mission  

Our FP&A team drives sustainable growth through strategic financial planning and data-driven insights as trusted business partners across GetYourGuide. Within Marketing FP&A, we enable intelligent marketing investment decisions and optimal capital allocation. As a Business Performance Senior Analyst, you will play a crucial role in transforming data into actionable insights whilst supporting strategic decision-making across our marketing organisation.

Responsibilities

Based in our Berlin headquarters and reporting to the Head of Marketing FP&A, you will be instrumental in driving business performance excellence at GetYourGuide. Your role bridges analytics with FP&A to ensure our rapidly growing marketplace achieves its ambitious goals through data-driven decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Business Performance Analysis: Drive insights through robust business performance analysis, developing KPIs that measure customer performance metrics and their impact on business outcomes whilst transforming data into compelling business narratives.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Design and implement reporting systems that provide clear visibility into business performance, enabling rapid, informed decisions through best-in-class analytics and insights.
  • Forecasting Support: Support short-term and long-term planning processes through customer cohort analysis, revenue forecasting, and marketing channel performance insights to identify key risks and opportunities.
  • Strategic Business Partnership: Partner with marketing teams to guide investment decisions, providing recommendations on channel performance whilst challenging assumptions and delivering actionable insights that drive business decisions.

Your Profile

  • Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience within a fast-paced and dynamic business environment, with demonstrated analytical and business partnering capabilities
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical mindset with experience in BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker) and database querying (e.g., SQL) essential for driving data-driven insights, including understanding of Marketing ROI concepts such as ROAS, incrementality, cohort analyses and CLV (customer lifetime value)
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills capable of distilling complex analyses into clear recommendations for leadership across different organisational levels, with proficiency in English, both oral and written
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to leverage data-driven insights and business acumen to support key business decisions whilst challenging assumptions constructively
  • Personal Attributes: Dynamic and proactive mindset with high energy, thriving in a results-driven, fast-paced environment whilst taking initiative to drive work forward with intellectual curiosity and passion for problem-solving
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Google Suite, MS Office, and financial modelling, with experience in ERP or CPM systems beneficial
