Job Responsibilities:
- Manage operational execution of a subset of Taiwan-based foundries.
- Drive and support activities related to:
- New technology introductions
- Process transfers
- New product introductions
- Ongoing production
- Coordinate and lead operational interactions between NXP and foundry suppliers.
- Ensure supplier support for:
- Regular operational functions
- New product introductions
- Ongoing production needs
- Provide external solutions aligned with NXP business requirements.
- Execute engineering activities with awareness of company strategy and business goals.
- Engage effectively with both internal and external partners across various disciplines.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Align closely with key NXP organizations including:
- Procurement
- Quality
- Innovation
- Business units
- Support operational needs such as:
- Planning and forecasting exchanges
- Delivery performance and expediting
- Excursion recovery and RMA/credit claims
- Customer and BU visits/audits
- Special logistics coordination requests
- Supplier audits and assessments
- Engineering orders and tracking critical lots
- Tapeouts and mask making
- Non-commercial capacity support
- Yield improvement and issue resolution
Leadership Requirements:
- Lead and drive cross-functional team efforts across NXP and supplier groups despite being an individual contributor role.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- B.S. or M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Over 10 years of industry experience with engineering leadership roles; management experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of:
- Semiconductor product development cycle
- Wafer fab manufacturing
- Foundry operations
- Quality practices (automotive experience is a plus)
- Project management and problem-solving skills
Other Requirements:
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Experience working across international and cross-cultural teams.
- Fluent in both Mandarin and English.
- Proven leadership experience across teams, departments, or organizations.
- Ability to define plans, track schedules, escalate issues, and interact with senior management.
- Strongly preferred experience in working with external companies, suppliers, or customers.
