Who We Are
Probook is the AI dispatcher for the home services industry, transforming how plumbing, HVAC, and electrical businesses operate.
Our impact is real. Dispatching the right technician to the right job can mean the difference between a $300 band-aid fix and a $20,000 system replacement. By automating previously high-touch workflows around the clock, Probook ensures a consistent customer experience without the need for 24/7 live staffing. We unify our customers' processes into a single, scalable platform, giving businesses one place to run their entire dispatch operation.
The Role
We are assembling one of the most talent-dense teams in New York City, and the people we bring in now will define what this company becomes.
As our Technical Recruiter, you will work directly with the founders, operate without a safety net, and help us to identify the .01% of candidates who can thrive in a zero-to-one environment.
We are looking for an SME and a thought partner in how we scale.
Who You Are
Thought Partner: You help define the market for our leaders and help show them what good looks like.
Hungry and craft-obsessed: You think deeply about sourcing and candidate experience.
An outbound machine: You do not wait for applicants. You identify the best people, find a way in, and write messages that get responses.
Coachable and fast-moving: You take feedback, implement it immediately, and don't wait for tomorrow.
Genuinely excited about Probook's mission: You can speak to why this company, this market, and this moment matter. Candidates feel it.
What You Will Own
End-to-end ownership of technical searches across engineering, product, and design, from kickoff through signed offer.
Outbound sourcing: building pipelines through LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, talent mapping, AI tools, and community networks.
ATS hygiene in Ashby: every candidate, stage, and note is logged accurately and in real time.
Recruiting operations: maintaining scorecards, calibrating with hiring managers, and flagging process breakdowns before they slow hiring down.
Contribution to talent strategy as Probook's recruiting function scales.
Requirements
NYC-Based: Excited to work in-office 5 days/week in our high-collaboration culture.
3 - 5 years of technical recruiting experience at a Series A to C startup or a high-bar recruitment agency.
Proven track record of closing 2 to 3 engineering hires per month in a high-volume, high-bar environment.
Deep experience with high-volume outbound sourcing across LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, and community channels.
Strong working knowledge of ATS platforms and a track record of keeping pipeline data clean and current.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple active searches simultaneously without losing quality or speed.
