They will build AI tools to automate recruiting and later address critical business challenges across sales, product, finance, and people operations. The role requires high agency, strong interpersonal skills, intellectual curiosity, fluency with AI tools, and experience in consulting, finance, or a fast-paced startup. The position is based in San Francisco with four in-office days weekly.
Summary Generated by Built In

Rockstar is recruiting for the market-leading AI voice agent for mortgage lenders. Since starting in mid-2024, the company has signed 6 of the 10 largest independent mortgage banks in the US as enterprise customers, growing from ~$0 to $13M annualized revenue over the past 20 months, and currently making around 600k calls a day. Product-market fit is a defining achievement, and the next 12 months will be transformative. The company is far and away the market leader in this space. In the near future, most mortgages will be originated by AI; the company is best positioned to achieve this. If successful, the company will eventually make everyone's mortgage 1% cheaper and build an enduring and valuable company along the way. The company has raised $21M across its Seed and Series A from top investors.

The Role

This is the first strategy and operations hire for the company. The role reports to the CEO and focuses on whichever challenge is most critical at the time.

Currently, the primary challenge is hiring. The company is tripling the team in a year without lowering the bar, making recruiting the highest-leverage system. The role will own targeting, reaching, evaluating, and closing top talent.

Over time, the scope expands to other areas of the business: sales, product, finance, or people, depending on needs and the candidate's interests.

What You'll Own
  • Hiring Strategy: Define who the right candidates are, how to attract them, how to evaluate fairly and efficiently, and how to close top talent.
  • Automation: Build AI tools and agents to automate as much of the hiring process as possible, with access to ample compute and engineering support. The goal is to use AI to handle 80% of the role so the candidate can tackle the next challenge.
  • Whatever's Next: New revenue motions, pricing models, finance functions — the scope is limited only by the candidate's capability.
What We're Looking For
  • 2–4 years out of school, spent at a top consulting firm, in finance, or in an operating role at a fast-paced, venture-backed startup
  • Hungry and high-agency: candidates who don't wait for instructions, see what needs to happen, figure out how to do it, and make it happen
  • Intellectually curious and fast to learn: candidates want to understand how a business works and can pick up new domains quickly

Must-haves:

  • Exceptional with people: every interaction should leave others thinking favorably about the company, whether they are hired or not
  • Genuinely fluent with AI tools: not just enthusiastic, but using them daily and having built something with AI yourself
  • Excited about working four days a week in office in San Francisco
Benefits
  • $130k–$175k base + generous equity
  • Top-of-market medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents
  • 401(k) with a top-of-market employer match
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Hybrid in-office schedule: four days a week together in SF, with a flexible remote day on Wednesdays

Skills Required

  • 2-4 years out of school
  • Experience at a top consulting firm, in finance, or in an operating role at a fast-paced, venture-backed startup
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Daily fluency with AI tools
  • Built something with AI
  • Willingness to work four days per week in the San Francisco office
