The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Work as a hands-on engineer embedded with customer teams to understand their operational challenges, then turn what you learn into production features. You will own workstreams from scoping through deployment and help shape technical direction alongside the founders.
What you'll do
- Work directly with customer teams on site to understand their toughest operational problems first-hand.
- Turn insights from the field into product and infrastructure improvements.
- Own projects end-to-end, from scoping through deployment to production.
- Partner closely with the founders to set technical and strategic direction.
- Help establish engineering standards and best practices for the product.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Professional experience shipping code to production and owning real stakeholder outcomes.
- Regular use of AI coding assistants in day-to-day development.
- Experience at an early-stage startup or a well-regarded larger company.
- A verifiable signal of excellence, such as notable achievements, hackathon wins or time at a prestigious company.
- A computer science or equivalent technical undergraduate degree from a U.S. school.
- Willingness to travel for work every 1 to 2 months, including internationally.
Bonus points
- Familiarity with TypeScript and React.
- Background in a customer-embedded engineering role or at a company that works that way.
- Hands-on exposure to machine learning applications in real projects.
- Knowledge of the logistics or purchasing domain.

Compensation and benefits
- Base salary: USD 160,000 to 230,000 per year
