Who we are:

Nirvana is on a mission to harness the power of data to revolutionize commercial insurance and enable a safer world. We are bringing much-needed innovation into the legacy, trillion-dollar commercial insurance industry. We have developed cutting-edge predictive models that use real-time IoT data from billions of connected devices, allowing us to better understand and price risk. Our AI-driven platform fundamentally changes the way an insurance company operates with personalized risk scoring, faster underwriting, modernized claims, and proactive, data-driven insights to help customers prevent accidents.

We’ve already proven the scale—reaching well over $100 million in premiums and more than doubling year over year. Our data moat is growing exponentially with more than 20 billion miles of telematics data, leading to more predictive models and new insights into how we can better understand and reduce risk. Altogether, our loss ratio, efficiency, and customer experience are redefining what can be done in the industry.

With $170+ million raised, including an industry-leading Series C round in January 2025, we’re only accelerating our growth, with strong support from top-tier VCs including Lightspeed, General Catalyst, and Valor. Nirvana’s leadership team has previously helped scale multi-billion-dollar companies from scratch, including Samsara, Rubrik, and Flexport, and includes industry veterans from Hiscox, The Hartford, and RLI.

A new division

But this role is different. We’re creating a new, independent business unit focused on building an AI platform that is redefining how logistics businesses operate—automating the operational workflows that slow motor carriers and brokers down and giving them real-time intelligence to run faster, safer, and smarter.

You’ll be part of the founding team bringing this to market.

About the role:
As a founding SDR, you’ll be at the front of our go-to-market motion: hunting for leads, mapping enterprise accounts, and creating demand for a new product that’s reinventing one of the largest industries in the world. This is not a traditional SDR seat—you will report directly to the General Manager and get a front-row seat to how a sales org is built.

This role is ideal for individuals looking to develop enterprise technology sales skills and to advance their careers. Overachievers will earn accelerated commissions and be well-positioned for promotion into closing roles.

What you’ll do:

  • Identify, research, and engage potential customers through outbound prospecting.

  • Manage a well organized pipeline of prospects in the CRM.

  • Collaborate with the General Manager to refine sales messaging & outbound strategies.

  • Meet or exceed quarterly goals for opportunities generated.

About you:

  • 1+ years of experience in sales or customer service.

  • Strong communication skills, both written & verbal.

  • Highly-motivated and goal-oriented.

  • Thorough critical thinker who isn’t afraid to take risks and make decisions.

  • Self-starter who independently seeks out opportunities to learn & succeed.

  • A growth mindset and a willingness to be collaborative with your teammates in the relationship building process.

  • Bias-to-action - you’re not afraid to get your hands dirty & stretch yourself.

  • Owner mentality - take accountability for your actions & results.

  • Successfully able to work in high-growth & ambiguous start-up environments.

  • Able and willing to work in our San Francisco office.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary

  • Medical, dental & vision insurance

  • 401k with company match

  • Flexible PTO

  • Company-sponsored lunch 3x per week

  • Company offsite, happy hours, and team-building events
