Founding Engineer - Libra AI
What this is
We're looking for our strong engineers to own systems end-to-end. This is not a maintenance role. You will write the code that becomes the foundation of the company, work directly with the founder, and ship to production in days, not quarters.
What you'll do
Own features and systems from design to deployment. No handoffs, no ticket farms.
Build fast, iterate faster, and ship code that touches users within your first week
Work across the stack: backend, APIs, infrastructure, and AI/LLM integrations as needed
Influence product direction and engineering culture from day one
What we're looking for
2+ years of real shipping experience. You've built and deployed production systems, not just coursework or internships
You can write clean, working code quickly and aren't afraid to touch any part of the stack
Strong systems thinking. You understand how your code fits into the broader architecture
Comfortable with ambiguity. We don't have specs for everything yet
Self-directed. You figure out what needs to be done and do it
What you don't need
A college degree. We care about what you can build, not where you studied
Years of big-tech process training. We move fast, and we want people who thrive in that environment
Compensation
Top-of-market cash + meaningful stock
This is a founding role with outsized equity for outsized ownership
The reality check We're a small team building something ambitious. The pace is high, the ownership is real, and we expect a lot from each other. If you want structure, guardrails, and predictable 9-to-5 scope, this won't be the right fit. If you want to build something that matters and grow with it, it will be.
Skills Required
- 2+ years of production shipping experience
- Ability to write clean, working code quickly across the stack
- Experience with backend systems, APIs, and infrastructure
- Familiarity with AI/LLM integrations
- Strong systems thinking and architectural awareness
- Comfortable with ambiguity and self-directed work
