Our client is an enterprise AI infrastructure startup building tools to deploy and operate agents. A small engineering team works directly with customers and owns the core platform.
The role
Raydar is recruiting for this opportunity through the Paraform network. The position is with our client. Join as a Forward Deployed Engineer with broad technical ownership and direct customer involvement. The role is approximately 70% backend and 30% frontend development.
What you'll do
- Own technical problems from architecture through production implementation.
- Build agent sandboxing, evaluation, observability, and benchmark infrastructure.
- Develop Python backend and TypeScript/Next.js frontend capabilities.
- Work with customers to understand requirements and deploy solutions.
- Identify product gaps and improve the user experience proactively.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- 0 to 5 years of relevant full-stack or customer-facing engineering experience, supported by shipped work.
- Ability to build products independently and make architecture decisions.
- Strong Python and TypeScript/Next.js skills.
- Experience with AI or LLM products and agent infrastructure.
- A technical undergraduate degree and strong engineering fundamentals.
- Customer-facing experience and a proactive product mindset.
Bonus points
- Founder or independent product-building experience.
- Early-stage or zero-to-one product development experience.

Compensation and benefits
- Base salary: USD 140,000 to 220,000 per year.

Location and work model
- San Francisco, California, United States.
- Five days per week onsite.
- Typical weekday hours are approximately 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.; light Saturday responsiveness is expected, with Sundays off.
