At Tarro, we’re embedding AI into the operational core of every team — from Training and HR to customer support and beyond. Our mission isn’t to build AI for its own sake, but to deliver measurable impact where it matters most: improving workflows, accelerating decision-making, and unlocking new capabilities.
As a Forward Deployed AI Strategist, you will operate on the frontlines of this mission. You’ll partner directly with functional teams across the company, immerse yourself in their work, and deploy AI solutions that fit their real-world needs. You won’t just observe problems — you’ll build tools and systems using AI, facilitate adoption, validate impact, and feed insights to functional leaders to drive organizational transformations.
What You'll DoDiscovery & Opportunity Sizing
Be the user — embed within functional teams, do their jobs, ask questions, and understand exactly how and why they work the way they do.
Use ground-level insights to identify high-value problems that AI can address.
Product Buildout
Independently build and launch scrappy MVPs — from lightweight automation scripts to proof-of-concept AI applications — to validate ideas fast.
Evolve MVPs into complete tools and systems when feasible, with a strong bias toward self-sufficiency.
Exercise sound judgment on when and how to involve Engineering — engaging them only for scaling proven impacts, complex integrations, or advanced technical requirements.
Refinement & Deployment
Use primary source feedback, performance data, and experiment results to refine existing solutions and shape product direction.
Ensure all solutions are both technically sound and compatible with operational realities.
Remove barriers to deployment by aligning AI solutions with existing systems, processes, and constraints.
Impact Measurement & Alignment
Collaborate with functional leaders to define success metrics.
Design and run experiments to measure AI’s impact on efficiency, quality, and business outcomes.
Serve as the bridge between vision and execution, keeping stakeholders aligned from conception through delivery.
Willingness to roll up your sleeves, work hands-on, and uncover insights directly from the front lines.
Rigorous thinking — able to design experiments, spot biases, and turn data into action.
Exceptional cross-functional collaboration — able to influence without direct authority.
Comfort with ambiguity and rapid context-switching across different domains.
Someone who is hardcore and refuses to settle for “good enough.”
You have a bachelor’s degree in STEM.
You have work experience in fast paced and competitive industries such as product management, management consulting, or finance.
You have a user-first mindset and a track record of problem solving based on user needs.
You have the ability to own and drive requirements through the entire development cycle, from requirements to launch and iteration.
You have experience with cross-functional collaboration.

What We Do
Tarro was born out of our personal struggles running a take-out restaurant for 10+ years. We know first-hand that small restaurant owners work far too hard to earn razor-thin margins. On top of that, enterprise software vendors offer technology solutions that don’t always work for small restaurants. At Tarro, we use a combination of bits (technology) and atoms (real people) to solve real-world problems facing restaurants.
Today, we’ve helped more than 1,800 restaurant owners increase profits and secure a better future for their families. As we’ve grown, our founding principle has never changed: we aim to help independent restaurant owners realize their dreams.
Tarro has achieved significant growth over the past two years, growing annual re-occurring revenue by almost 4x to $46 million and quadrupling our customer base of mom-and-pop restaurants.
Why Work With Us
