Forward Deployed Academy 1 Week Hiring Bootcamp (on-site, Denver, USA)

Unit8 is dedicated to driving AI adoption in non-digital industries, accelerating their digital transformation. We invest in projects that matter, including pro-bono initiatives and "engineering for good" causes.

The Program

FDE Academy USA is a one-week, in-person bootcamp at our Denver Tech Center office. You'll spend five days building real solutions on Palantir Foundry alongside our engineering team — no lectures, no theory-only sessions, just hands-on education on a realistic use case. At the end of the week, our top performers walk away with a job offer to join Unit8 as a Forward Deployed Engineer.

No prior Foundry experience required. We're looking for people who learn fast, think in systems, and are energized by ambiguous problems — not people who already know the platform.

• Day 1 — Foundry fundamentals, environment setup, your first guided build
• Day 2–4 — Applied build sprints: ontology modeling, data pipelines, and a Workshop application, with our engineers pairing alongside you through a realistic but self-contained challenge that mirrors real client work
• Day 5 — Present what you built
• On the next Monday - top performers get a call from our recruiting team

• Recent or upcoming graduate in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field
• Solid CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, databases, and at least one general-purpose language (Python, Java, TypeScript, or similar)
• Coursework, personal projects, hackathons, or internships that show you can build, not just study
• Comfort with ambiguity and a fast learning curve — you won't know Foundry/AIP yet, and that's fine
• Curiosity about how data platforms power real decisions in industries like manufacturing, energy, and financial services

• Duration: 1 week
• Equipment: Bring your laptop
• Cohort: Small group, working closely on realistic challenges with Unit8 engineers all week

This program provides valuable training to participants and is unpaid.
