Forward Deployed Engineer

As a Forward Deployment Engineer, you will work with our customers and other Rogo Engineers to deploy Rogo’s specialized AI infrastructure and implement scalable solutions that solve their most difficult problems. You will design abstractions to solve customer problems, and then use them to scale our speed and quality of delivery across all Forward Deployed engagements.

You will collaborate closely with Sales, Solutions Architects, and Customer Success Managers. You will also work with our Research and Product teams to provide insightful customer feedback.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, and monitoring tools, with a focus on rapid deployment and customization of our Kubernetes-based applications across various environments.

• Customer Collaboration:

  • Deeply embed with strategic customers to understand their business challenges and technical requirements.

  • Act as a trusted advisor, working hands-on alongside customer teams to design and implement solutions.

• Financial AI Solution Design & Development:

  • Architect and develop scalable, data-intensive applications utilizing Rogo APIs, Kubernetes, and Cloud services

  • Design robust abstractions and infrastructure components to solve customer-specific issues, enabling rapid scalability

• Financial AI Infrastructure Engineering:

  • Own the end-to-end infrastructure lifecycle for customer Rogo deployments, from initial provisioning to production optimization

  • Develop Terraform modules and automation scripts to deploy, configure, and manage Rogo Kubernetes clusters tailored to each customer's security and compliance requirements

• Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Solutions Architects, Customer Success Managers, and Product teams.

  • Provide insightful feedback from customer engagements to inform product development and improvements.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

• 5-7+ years professional software engineering experience, ideally in customer-facing roles at tech/product-driven companies

• Strong experience in backend development (Java, C++, Rust, Python)

• Significant experience in working with Cloud Services on AWS and/or Azure (EC2, S3, VPC, RDS)

• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tooling, such as Terraform

• Experience with Helm for Kubernetes package management

• Experience with vector databases and search technologies such as Elasticsearch

• Familiarity with relational databases (Postgres) and cloud-native security best practices
