Code 4 Emergency Services provides professional medical coverage for some of the most exciting events in Texas. If you want to trade the ordinary for the extraordinary, we want you on our team.
We are looking for EMTs with availability to work Formula 1 at Circuit of the Americas, October 23-25, 2026. EMTs hired for Formula 1 will be eligible to work other events.
About the role
As an EMT with Code 4, you will provide on-site emergency medical care at special events across Texas, including concerts, festivals, motorsports, sporting events, and large-scale public gatherings. No two shifts are the same. You bring the clinical skills; we put you in environments most providers never get to work in.
This is a PRN/part-time position, meaning you pick up events that fit your schedule. Whether you are looking for a primary gig or a way to earn on your days off from another EMS job, Code 4 offers flexibility without sacrificing the quality of the work.
What you will do
- Provide BLS-level patient assessment, treatment, and transport coordination at assigned events
- Staff fixed medical posts, roving units, and mobile response positions depending on event needs
- Operate as part of a coordinated medical team under the direction of a Paramedic In-Charge or Medical Director
- Complete accurate patient care reports and documentation for each incident
- Maintain readiness and professionalism throughout the duration of assigned events
- Assist with setup, staging, and breakdown of event medical stations as needed

Current Texas DSHS EMT certification in good standing

Ability to pass a background check and any required pre-employment screenings

Must maintain all required certifications, licenses, and credentials throughout employment

Prior special event or mass gathering EMS experience

Basic Life Support (BLS)

ICS/NIMS familiarity (ICS 100, 200, 700, 800)

Experience with electronic patient care reporting (ePCR) systems and/or inventory management platforms

Must be at least 18 years of age

Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record; ability to operate company vehicles if required

Ability to work extended shifts (8–12+ hours) in dynamic, high-demand environments

Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and supplies up to 50 lbs

Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and climbing as needed

Ability to work in loud, high-activity environments (e.g., motorsports events, large crowds)

Ability to work outdoors for extended periods with exposure to varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, wind, etc.)

Ability to work extended and variable hours, including early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call assignments as needed

Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods

Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English

Ability to effectively communicate via two-way radio and other communication devices
