About the Role

ResourceWise is seeking a forest products expert with commercial timberland and wood supply chain expertise, strong analytic abilities, and solid project management skills. The successful candidate will lead our efforts in Southeast Asia by collecting and analyzing market data, engaging with market participants to develop strong relationships and a clear market perspective.  The successful candidate will be part of a team that will provide data for subscription-based products, one-off reports, and bespoke studies.  The successful candidate will also be curious, resourceful, well organized, and have a dedication to detail and accuracy.

What You'll Do

• Lead ResourceWise's forestry and wood supply market initiatives across Southeast Asia
• Complete customized forestry resource and wood supply studies by defining project scope, estimating timelines and costs, conducting quantitative and statistical analyses, and delivering client-ready reports with actionable insights.
• Support new subscription business by working with prospective clients and our internal sales team to help identify market opportunities and contributing subject matter expertise throughout the sales process.
• Analyze complex forestry, procurement, and wood fiber supply chain data, transforming findings into clear reports, presentations, and compelling data visualizations.
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of forest products markets, wood supply and timberland trends, and regional supply dynamics to support ongoing research and consulting activities.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to scope projects, gather market intelligence, and deliver exceptional client service.
• Maintain a high standard of organization, accuracy, attention to detail, and continuous learning while managing competing priorities and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Degree in Forestry, Resource Management, or related field
• 5-10 years of field experience in the forest products supply chain (e.g., procurement) or similar field experience
• 5-7 years of experience in an analytic role, performing and reporting analysis of forestry-related data to management
• Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities, including economic theory, mathematics and statistics, and quantitative methods
• Working knowledge of forest biometrics, growth and yield models, and geographical information systems
• Demonstrated project management experience; the ability to work closely with stakeholders on a variety of projects
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to consult with customers to understand project needs
• Fluency in Vietnamese; strong professional English communication skills also required.
• The ability to present and manipulate data in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint and MS Word
• Solid time-management and follow-through skills, with the ability to simultaneously work on and manage multiple tasks and projects with tight deadlines
• Ability to work well independently
• Knowledge of financial analytics, MSOffice, and statistics
