Foreign Trade Zone Coordinator

Responsible for supporting the daily administration, compliance, and operational execution of CTDI's Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) activities. This position is responsible for coordinating FTZ transactions, maintaining inventory and shipment records, preparing required documentation, supporting regulatory compliance requirements, and ensuring merchandise movements are processed accurately and efficiently. The FTZ Coordinator works closely with warehouse operations, transportation teams, customs brokers, customers, and internal stakeholders to maintain compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations and CTDI policies.

Hiring for 1st and 2nd Shift!

1st Shift: 6:00AM - 2:30PM, Monday - Friday

2nd Shift: 3:00PM - 11:30PM, Monday - Friday

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate daily FTZ activities in accordance with CTDI procedures, customer requirements, CBP regulations, and FTZ operational requirements.
• Review inbound shipment documentation and support FTZ admissions by validating shipment details, inventory status, and supporting records.
• Coordinate outbound FTZ transactions including withdrawals, transfers, exports, and other merchandise movements.
• Maintain compliance with CBP regulations, FTZ requirements, and internal controls.
• Support required FTZ filings and operational documentation, including e214 admissions, in-bond movements, transfers, withdrawals, exports, and weekly entry processes.
• Maintain accurate FTZ inventory records across WMS, ERP, FTZ, broker, and customer systems.
• Reconcile inventory transactions and investigate inventory discrepancies or shipment variances.
• Support physical inventories, cycle counts, and reconciliation activities related to FTZ-controlled
  merchandise.
• Maintain audit-ready records, reports, logs, and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, carriers, customers, transportation teams, and warehouse operations to ensure timely movement of FTZ merchandise.
• Provide transaction support during internal audits, customer reviews, and CBP inquiries.
• Maintain FTZ SOPs, work instructions, and process controls, identifying opportunities for process improvements.
• Support operational teams with guidance related to FTZ handling, documentation, segregation, and compliance requirements.
• Prepare routine operational reports, compliance metrics, and exception summaries for management review.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 1-3 years of experience in FTZ operations, customs compliance, import/export operations, logistics, warehouse administration, inventory control, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to follow established procedures and compliance controls consistently.
• Strong data entry, reporting, and recordkeeping skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Experience working within a regulated warehouse, logistics, distribution, or compliance-driven environment.
• Experience utilizing WMS, ERP, FTZ software, broker portals, ACE, or similar systems.
• Working knowledge of CBP regulations, FTZ procedures, and international trade compliance
  practices.

Educational Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, Trade Compliance, or a related field preferred.
• Trade compliance certifications preferred.
