WHAT DOES A FOREIGN TRADE ZONE (FTZ) ASSISTANT DO?
As an FTZ Coordinator, you will support the day-to-day operations of Bacardi USA’s Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) activities. This entry-level role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a foundational understanding of U.S. Customs regulations and a desire to grow within international trade and compliance. You will work closely with the FTZ Administrator and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate documentation, compliance, and efficient FTZ processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES
WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART, YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO:
- Assist in preparing and submitting FTZ entry documentation, including CF214, CF215, and CF216 forms.
- Support the tracking and reconciliation of FTZ inventory and weekly consumption entries.
- Help maintain accurate records in compliance with U.S. Customs and TTB regulations.
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to monitor inbound shipments and minimize detention/demurrage.
- Assist in updating systems such as EditTrade and Integration Point with product data (HTS codes, ECCN, COO).
- Provide administrative support for FTZ-related audits and internal reviews.
- Help prepare training materials and documentation for internal stakeholders.
- Support export documentation processes for shipments to the Caribbean, Canada, and Latin America.
- Collaborate with the FTZ Administrator to identify and implement process improvements.
SKILLS
THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY:
- Basic knowledge of U.S. Customs and FTZ regulations
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with trade compliance systems (e.g., EditTrade, Integration Point)
- Effective communication and teamwork across departments
- Ability to manage documentation and maintain accurate records
- Willingness to learn and grow in international trade and compliance
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
PERSONAL QUALITIES
- 100% Responsibility mindset.
- Preferred: Associate’s degree in Business, International Trade, Supply Chain, or related field
- Preferred: 1–2 years of experience in logistics, customs brokerage, or trade compliance (internships or co-op experience acceptable).
