Job Description
Bosch is looking to employ a Foreign Trade Specialist as part of their team
Duties will include but are not limited to the following:
Ensuring Import & Export compliance within the BOSCH CD3400, and South African international trade regulations
Coordinate exports, AF, SF and Road freight
Liaise with BOSCH Tax & Governance teams as well as PUI & PUR to ensure regional foreign trade compliance on import and export operations
Responsible for broker management on exports (all LSPs)
Coordinate LSP reporting and KPI management for all imports and exports (Normal air, Express & Sea)
Support and act as proxy for all AF & SF import functions of the business Co-ordinator
Support and work as Proxy to the foreign trade APDP processes
Ensure accuracy in customs valuation (duties & taxes) and invoice verifications
Service Invoice verification - factual, price check as per relevant rate cards
Ensure Internal Control Systems are reported
Broker audit management, reporting & dispute resolutions (including invoicing)
Coordinate FT internal SOP updates & maintenance - Coordinate and update relevant foreign trade operating procedures, process flows and LSP management SOPs
- Import and export operation procedure and process flow as per CD3400
- Broker Audit procedure and seek exception from C/TXR for FT audit for Express service providers.
- Invoice handling procedure as per CD022500.
- SOP update for ICS, FTICS, FTOD
- APDP SOP updates on Rebates, Drawbacks, Preference calculations e.t.c,
Project implementation - Local broker
Identify, analyse, and report potential foreign trade savings opportunities
Customs dispute resolution - Valuation, HS Classification & Tariff, NRCS e.t.c.,
Proactively resolve disputes with LSPs
BP & CF0x planning
Foreign trade data analysis, modelling and reporting automation
Qualifications
- Minimum Matric
- Degree/ Diploma in Logistics, Foreign Trade, or similar
- 3-5 years practical experience in foreign trade
- Profound knowledge of logistics and foreign trade
- Understanding of South African customs and foreign trade rules and regulations
- Experience with dealing with authorities (preferred)
- Understanding of complex business models (e.g. multilevel business)
- IT Experience (e.g. SAP or MS Excel)
- Automotive / FMCG experience would be advantageous
- Entrepreneurial and customer-oriented mind-set
- Strong communication skills
- Assertiveness
- Strong IT-Skills (e.g. SAP, MS Office)
- Analytical thinking
- Autonomous working
- Responsible, reliable, and self-motivated
- Fluent in English
