THE ROLE:
This role is part of Genius' team that helps sports leagues and teams boost performance on and off the field using cutting-edge tech, analytics, and visual insights.
Join Genius Sports as a Forecasting & Capacity Specialist, where you will play a critical role in shaping how we plan, allocate, and scale the hardware and stock needed to support GeniusIQ. You will be responsible for building a unified view of equipment demand, tracking supply pipelines, and ensuring the right inventory is in place to meet operational and commercial needs. Your work will directly influence reliability, cost efficiency, and the long-term scalability of GeniusIQ delivery.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Build and maintain a single, end-to-end view of hardware and stock forecasting and capacity planning for all GeniusIQ requirements.
- Act as the central contact for all GeniusIQ hardware and equipment planning needs.
- Deliver accurate forecasts and models covering devices, components, and stock levels for short-, medium-, and long-term planning.
- Work closely with Product, Commercial, M&A, and other teams to gather demand inputs and translate them into clear hardware and stock requirements.
- Track and report key KPIs related to hardware utilization, stock efficiency, pipeline timing, and variance against forecast.
- Identify risks, shortages, over-supply patterns, and opportunities to optimize GeniusIQ hardware allocation and stock management.
- Evaluate and propose improvements in planning processes, modelling tools, and forecasting systems, including potential WFM or planning technology.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Previous experience with hardware forecasting, stock planning, demand modelling, or capacity management in an operational or technical environment.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with experience using data to build models, validate assumptions, and measure accuracy.
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills, enabling you to gather demand and supply inputs across teams.
- Ability to simplify complex planning scenarios and clearly communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work proactively and independently.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, changing environment and adapting to evolving product needs.
- A willingness to learn and improve processes, driven by attention to detail and accuracy.
