The Ford Pro Upfitter Specialist (FPU Specialist) is responsible for leading Ford Pro’s relationship with and evaluation of upfitters in the Ford Pro Upfitter Qualification Program. This role serves as the primary lead and subject matter expert for upfitters gaining and maintaining FPU Qualification and data submission compliance.
ResponsibilitiesWhat you'll do...
- Evaluate eligible upfitters on the Ford Pro Upfitter Program requirements focused on operations and engineering quality processes and qualify/deny upfitters into the program.
- Travel to customer locations for face-to-face meetings to evaluate facilities on Ford Pro Upfitter program requirements and strengthen relationships with Ford Pro and the Ford Pro Upfit Team.
- Achieve objectives and key results with qualified FPU upfitters, including milestone completion and adherence to FPU program requirements.
- Refine and execute the FPU go-to-market strategy to enroll and certify new upfitters.
- Provide counsel to fleet customers on new product offerings, production and distribution timing.
- Represent Ford Pro at fleet conventions, industry associations, and other local and national fleet events.
- Support national coverage across assigned customers and partners.
You’ll Have
- Bachelors degree
- 5+ years of automotive or manufacturing experience
- Strong knowledge of operations and engineering quality processes.
- Strong communication skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 70% or as needed to support customer and partner engagement.

This position is a salary grade 6-8 and ranges from $90,000 - $160,000.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
