Job Description

The Product Manager is responsible for defining, prioritising, and delivering programs, digital products and business system capabilities that create measurable value for the organisation. Acting as the bridge between Operations, Business Stakeholders, IS&T, and external vendors, the Product Manager ensures solutions align with strategic objectives, operational requirements, and user needs. 

The role owns the product vision, roadmap, backlog, and delivery priorities, ensuring development efforts are focused on initiatives that maximise business value and improve user experience. Through strong stakeholder engagement, governance, and Agile delivery practices, the Product Manager drives decision-making, manages competing priorities, and supports successful adoption of products and solutions across the business. 

Success in the role requires a balance of strategic thinking, commercial acumen, stakeholder influence, and delivery leadership to ensure the right solutions are delivered, adopted, and continuously improved to meet evolving business needs. 

Job Scope  

Responsible for defining the product vision, roadmap, and priorities, ensuring technology solutions deliver measurable business value, meet user needs, and align with organisational strategy through effective stakeholder engagement and product governance. 

Key Relationships    

Internal: Segment Operations Teams, GM FM, National TDD Stakeholders, Subject Matter Leaders 

External: Clients, Industry Consultants, Suppliers (as required)

Responsibilities 

Product Strategy  

  • Define product scopes, timelines, budgets, and deliverables; monitor progress and report outcomes. 
  • Develop, manage, and refine a product roadmap aligned with Sodexo’s vision and  national TDD strategy. 

Product & Roadmap Management 

  • Own and manage the product roadmap, backlog, and priorities. 
  • Assess business value and prioritise features, epics, and user stories accordingly. 
  • Write functional requirements and user stories aligned to operational needs. 
  • Facilitate product governance and Steerco committee discussions. 
  • Drive delivery outcomes across multiple concurrent initiatives. 
  • Ensure products align with business strategy and operational objectives. 
  • Contribute to deployment planning and regional/global alignment. 

Agile Delivery 

  • Lead and participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog refinement. 
  • Work closely with technical and delivery teams to ensure successful execution. 
  • Promote Agile best practices and continuous improvement. 
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication 
  • Build trusted relationships with Operations, IS&T, Finance, and Stakeholders. 
  • Clearly communicate roadmap direction, priorities, and business value. 
  • Influence decision-making across multiple stakeholders and business units. 
  • Act as the voice of the business and end-users throughout delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline. 
  • Certification or formal training in Agile, Scrum, Product Management, or Project Management methodologies. 
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) 
  • Agile Scrum Certification 
  • SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager 
  • PRINCE2 or PMP Certification 
  • Experiences 
  • Minimum 5 years in Product and Program management with experience in transformation business initiatives. 
  • A minimum of 3 years Project or Program management experience with exposure to the services industry 
  • Proven experience in Product Management, or Product Ownership roles. 
  • Exposure to enterprise systems, FM CMMS platforms, ERP, such as D365 CE & FO is highly desirable. 
  • Experience managing product roadmaps, backlogs, and Agile delivery frameworks. 
  • Demonstrated experience translating business requirements into functional specifications and user stories. 
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders.
