Flutter Mobile Developer

Celesta, part of La Royale Group, is a fast-growing iGaming development company dedicated to building next-generation online sports betting and casino experiences. Based in Lisbon, our multidisciplinary team is committed to quality, innovation, and regulatory excellence, creating solutions that engage players and stand out in the highly competitive i-gaming regulated market. 

We are now seeking a Flutter Developer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will spearhead the development of our sportsbook mobile applications, delivering intuitive and seamless cross-platform experiences. From live betting interfaces to personalized dashboards, you will guide a team that ensures every feature is fast, reliable, and user-friendly. This position reports directly to the Flutter Team Leader and works closely with backend, QA, and product teams. 

The role should be based at the office in the Carnaxide area (up to 8 days per month remotely), and the first month is fully on-site.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with backend teams to integrate REST and WebSocket APIs seamlessly, ensuring efficient data exchange and real-time updates in our Flutter applications.
  
• Develop high-quality Flutter applications with dynamic features, utilizing your expertise in Flutter to integrate new functionalities seamlessly. 
• Utilize strong networking skills to establish robust connections with RESTful APIs, ensuring smooth data synchronisation and responsiveness within the Flutter framework.
  
• Implement WebSocket connections for real-time communication, enhancing user experiences with dynamic content updates.
  Craft responsive UIs using Flutter's expressive UI framework, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent user experiences across platforms. 
• Skillfully manage asynchronous network requests and responses, optimizing UI performance within the Flutter framework for a seamless app experience.
  Employ testing practices to ensure application reliability and performance, maintaining code quality and adherence to best practices within the Flutter environment.
  
• Apply Clean Architecture patterns to create scalable, elegant solutions tailored to the Flutter framework and ensure they align with business requirements. 
• Collaborate with backend teams to define error handling strategies, ensuring user-friendly error messages and graceful degradation within the Flutter app. 
• Monitor network performance, optimizing app responsiveness for optimal user experiences within the Flutter framework. 
• Document API integration processes and data models within Flutter development for onboarding and reference purposes. 
• Stay updated with the latest Flutter and mobile development advancements, integrating new tools and techniques for enhanced efficiency.
• Foster Agile practices for adaptable, performant app development within the Flutter ecosystem. 
• Engage in regular showcases to align development efforts with project goals and demonstrate progress. 
• Collaborate with product owners and UX experts to bring innovative ideas to life, ensuring user-centric app experiences within the Flutter platform. 

Qualifications: 

• 3+ years of professional mobile development experience, including a solid Flutter foundation. 
• Deep familiarity with the Flutter framework and its UI concepts 
• Strong understanding of Flutter's capabilities and limitations. 
• Proficiency in relevant Flutter frameworks, tools, and APIs, ensuring the seamless integration of Flutter app components. 
• Exposure to modern UI frameworks, including practical experience with building UIs using Flutter widgets. 
• Collaboration experience with UI/UX teams, translating design concepts into intuitive user interfaces within the Flutter environment 
• Working knowledge of the mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies, with a focus on integrating third-party APIs/SDKs within Flutter.
  
• Solid understanding of the entire mobile development life cycle, from concept to deployment, tailored for Flutter applications. 
• Proficiency in design patterns and SOLID principles for creating maintainable code.
• Have published/supported one or more apps on app stores, showcasing practical deployment skills within the Flutter ecosystem. 
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Proven experience working within a continuous development environment and utilizing version control tools like GIT. 
• Familiarity with design patterns and best practices specific to mobile cross-platform development. 
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
• Knowledge of effective testing practices, including experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD), is a plus. 
• Experience using tools like Fastlane to streamline development workflows is considered a plus. 
• Fluent English communication skills for effective collaboration within a global team.
