We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Lead to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned tele-sales professional with a proven track record of success in the pet industry. This role requires a native-level English speaker based in North or South America.
FluentPet creates the tools and community for catalyzing two-way communication between humans and the animals we live with. Using cognitive science-based research and insights, we work with humans and their animal learners to create a new shared language that will improve both of their lives. Our research and engagement with the community let us constantly iterate and improve the FluentPet HexTile System. This allows us to continue expanding the scope of what we understand is possible when communicating with other species.

Job Overview: The Sales Lead will be responsible for generating and closing sales within the pet store market. This individual will proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, build strong customer relationships, and consistently exceed sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and drive sales strategy and support point of purchase, education, other collateral development for retailers and distributors
  • Generate and qualify leads through outbound tele-sales activities
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to potential customers
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with pet store owners and managers
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals
  • Achieve and exceed monthly sales quotas
  • Accurately forecast sales and track key metrics
  • Provide regular reports on sales activities and pipeline
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activities

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in tele-sales
  • Proven track record of success in sales
  • Experience selling into pet stores
  • Native-level English proficiency
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Highly motivated and results-oriented
  • Proficiency in sales CRM software (preferred)
