Job Responsibilities

The role of the FSP scientists in the clinical flow cytometry group will be to conduct the repetitive assay work that is needed for the group’s success.  This work will be autonomous or in direct aid of senior scientists within the groupThe need is to free the senior scientists in the group to pursue more experimental non-routine workThe FSP scientists will be responsible for accepting and logging in all clinical samples that arrive for the groupThey will be responsible for the processing of these samples. Processing can either be preparing the samples for storage for analysis at a later date or processing the samples for immediate analysis and acquiring the data on the group’s flow cytometers. Also the FSP scientists will run the repetitive sample analysis portions of assay validation.  Further the FSP scientists may assist in data generation, by applying pre-programed analysis schemes to data that was generated in lab, a time consuming endeavor.  All scientists participating in any afore mentioned tasks are required to undergo training by FTE members of the team and qualify based of specific performance criteriaStrong organization and record keeping ability is a mustFamiliarity with electronic notebooks is a plus Other supportive tasks will be required, and the FSP scientists should be willing to take these on. The scientist chosen from this position will have at minimum a BS in biology or related scientific fieldA understanding of the immune system is a plusExperience in a laboratory setting is a mustExperience in industry or in a contract research organization is highly desirableUnderstanding of flow cytometry is a mustExperience designing and developing assays and experience with flow cytometry analysis software such as flow go or similar are very desirable. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a team in high pressure environment is mandatory.

Salary Range:

$35,600.00 - $60,400.00

The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
