Cleveland Clinic understands that feeling well involves tending to not only your physical health but also your emotional and mental well-being. As the Florida Caring for Caregivers Director, you will help us promote a culture of comprehensive support by serving as the clinical and administrative leader of Caring for Caregivers services. In this role, you will ensure the delivery of our Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Licensed Professionals Health Program (LPHP) and Professional Staff Assistance Program (PSAP), supporting the internal team and external vendors to provide high quality, confidential and professional assistance. Your work encompasses staff oversight, strategic planning, education and crisis responses. You will be able to cycle between the North and South Florida locations (e.g., Martin, Weston and Indian River), offering flexibility in scheduling and location as desired. Ultimately, your efforts are invaluable to our mission of becoming the best place to work in healthcare.
A caregiver in this position works days from 8:00AM - 5:00PM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Provide direction, education and coaching to Florida CFC team members and the external vendor to ensure quality, consistency and safety of clinical and non-clinical practices.
- Ensure the ongoing promotion of CFC program offerings in the Florida market to increase awareness and utilization.
- Develop and drive objectives and key results for CFC’s Florida market on an annual basis.
- In consultation with the CFC Senior Director, develop written internal processes and procedures for the Florida market aligned with professional regulations, ethical codes, laws and organizational/departmental policies and practices.
- Provide subject matter expertise to local organizational leaders on topics, including caregiver behavior, mental wellbeing, impairment, stress and burnout.
- Provide 24/7 on-call pager and related response services for time-sensitive safety situations and critical incidents.
- Provide clinical services including crisis intervention, counseling, case management and referrals.
- Serve as a voting member on the Licensed Professionals Health Committee (LPHC) and the Physician Health Committee (PHC).
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Master’s Degree in a mental health field
- Current Florida independent licensure in a mental health profession as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Psychologist
- Eight years of experience in EAP or a closely related field
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) Certification
- Leadership experience
- Experience in a healthcare system
- Experience in short-term counseling
- Crisis intervention skills

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a stationary position for extended periods.
- Ability to operate a computer, audio-visual, and other office equipment.
- Ability to travel throughout the Florida market.
- Ability to be available/on-call 24/7, as needed.
- Ability to lift or carry up to 25 pounds, on occasion.
- Normal or corrected hearing and vision.
