Job Description

Your mission during this flight:

  • Lead / manage the overall planning of assigned Flight Test Campaigns, incl. campaign resource requirements, to ensure approval of Flight Test Definitions (FTD) and Flight Test Orders (FTO)
  • Adherence to the Flight Test Organization in Flight Test Engineering (FTE) role
  • Provide development & certification flight test evidence in MOC5/MOC6/MOC8 context
  • Provide FT Subject Matter Expert (SME) support in assigned discipline / area of expertise
  • Support HoFT / CFTE / SFTE in classification of Flight Test Requests for complexity
  • Prepare Flight Test Definitions (FTD) for flight test campaigns, as assigned
  • Act as delegate of HoFT / CFTE for FTO approvals (when formally delegated)
  • Act as Test Conductor (TC) during test execution (if assigned via competency check out)
  • Generation, review and/or approval of Flight Test Reports.

Qualifications

Check in your professional skills:

  • A bachelor’s/master’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years of experience as FTE involved in aircraft development & certification process.
  • Professional experience in FT data post-processing / analysis (Matlab or similar)
  • Business fluent in English language (written & spoken), other languages would be a plus
  • Able and willing to deploy to local / international flight test locations for various short to medium term flight test campaigns.

Desired qualifications:

  • FTE Certificate from EASA accredited Flight Test School.
  • Experience in Rotary Wing flight testing / multi-rotor UAVs.
  • Experience as Test Conductor / Test Director in FT aircrew capacity onboard and/or from Telemetry control station.
