Job Description SummaryThe Senior Industrial Engineering Leader is part of the Integrated Manufacturing Assembly & Test FLIGHT DECK Industrial Engineering Group. This role will engage with our FLIGHT DECK and industrial engineering users across part families, shop operations, and supporting cross-functional teams that satisfy the needs for activities including standard work, layout and process development, kaizen event facilitation, direct labor productivity, problem solving, and process improvement initiatives focused on flow of material, asset utilization and resource capacity optimization.
This position will require up to 60% travel.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop advanced competency in wide range of Industrial Engineering Methods and Lean tools, and coach associates in the use and implementation of Lean (FLIGHT DECK) principles
  • Partner, develop and execute standard Capacity Utilization process in partnership with the local Operations, FLIGHT DECK and Industrial Engineering Leaders
  • Improves workflow by studying process flow charts, recommending modifications in workflow and workstations, and developing new procedures
  • Layout and workstation planning a must
  • Demonstrated experience with designing, developing, and deploying manufacturing systems with emphasis on machining lines and balancing hard/soft capacity
  • Improves labor and machine utilization by studying work methods, layout, and equipment modifications, designing new methods, and recommending job restructuring
  • Creates Standard Work and implements visual management to material flow and process optimization
  • Share and communicate advanced industrial engineering process flows and work streams to be used by the operations as Best Practice Standards across the manufacturing network
  • Use Lean Process Improvement methodologies, expertise, and judgment to creatively address complicated and/or interdependent processes, develop execution plans and communicate benefits/risk
  • Demonstrated experience using operator balance charts, machine capacity analysis, standard work, time study, SMED, structured problem solving, daily management, and OEE calculations
  • Lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (Industrial Engineering Degree Preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years experience facilitating lean transformations in manufacturing and supply chain operations
  • Willing to travel up to 60% of the time

Desired Characteristics and Experience:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience facilitating lean transformations or manufacturing/machining operations. 
  • Master's degree in Industrial Engineering
  • 3+ years of leadership experience preferred

The base pay range for this position is $159,000 - $200,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on September 26, 2026.
