Job Summary
This job description is a general guide of the duties of the Flexo Operator working on the Flexo Printer Cutter. The functions are not all inclusive, and the employee may perform other functions in order to get the job done.
Essential Functions
- Assists in assuring accurate speed of the machines.
- Assists and makes cutting adjustments by removing the die assembly.
- Secures correct ink for the press and keeps ink pumps full as needed.
- Maintains correct viscosity of inks as needed.
- Ensures that all guards and safety shields are in place.
- Ensure plates are clean by washing several times during shift.
- Ensures that area is clean at all times.
- May place rolls of paper onto the press.
- Assist in moving pallets and baskets, wraps pallets at shrink wrapper, and moves pallets from Flexo area into warehouse area.
- Remove product from delivery belt and stack on pallet. Inspect for print, cut, and quality.
- Works closely with Operator in all operations of the equipment to ensure safety, quality of product produced, make adjustment, and configure the press.
- Makes roll splices from roll to roll as needed.
- Records roll information on roll sheets as needed.
- Certified to operate electric pallet jack and forklift.
- Change gears on press during make-ready.

Job Qualifications
Required
- Mechanical knowledge of the working of a press.
- Familiar with hand tools.
- Maximum time spent on the production floor in a high noise, climate-controlled environment.
- Must use PPE to include ear plugs or muffs, hair net, and safety glasses.
- Job requires some lifting up to 50lbs during a 12-hour shift
- Bending, lifting, turning, walking, standing, climbing, crawling, and twisting body continuously during a 12-hour shift
