Where You’ll Make a Difference
- Determine the qualitative and quantitative composition of flavour compounds through interpretation of GC/MS data.
- Prepare samples, operate relevant analytical workflows and evaluate data in accordance with established methods and laboratory protocols.
- Develop, adapt and document analytical methods appropriate to the complexity of assigned work.
- Translate technical requests into well-structured experiments and practical analytical approaches.
- Assess data quality, identify anomalies and recommend logical follow-up work.
- Maintain accurate, current and traceable laboratory records, reports and supporting data.
- Connect instrumental observations with sensory performance and product context where appropriate.
- Plan and manage assigned activities, priorities and timelines in alignment with project needs.
- Present results, interpretations, limitations and recommended next steps to internal customers and technical stakeholders.
- Build effective working relationships by responding reliably to customer needs and using feedback to improve technical service.
What Makes You the Right Fit
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Food Science, Flavor Science or a related scientific discipline with 3-4 years experience.
- Master's degree with 1-2 years experience in the relevant discipline.
- Foundational knowledge of chromatographic and mass spectrometric analysis, particularly GC/MS.
- Experience with flavour, fragrance, food, beverage or consumer-product analysis.
- Practical laboratory experience gained through employment, internship, academic research or equivalent technical training.
- Ability to interpret analytical data, apply logical problem-solving and document work accurately.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical findings to internal stakeholders.
- Commitment to laboratory safety, quality, data integrity and responsible work practices.
