The Role


Fixture Operations Manager

Position Overview:

The Fixture Operations Manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Fixture Operations service area at a designated location. Reporting directly to the Head of Fixture Operations, this role ensures the timely, accurate, and consistent delivery of all fixture-related products and services. The Manager will lead and develop a team through Team Leads, driving operational excellence in alignment with company SLAs, KPIs, and strategic objectives.

This role involves full accountability for local resource planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and process optimization. The ideal candidate brings a strong operational mindset, exceptional people management skills, and the ability to lead in fast-paced, data-driven environments. A collaborative leader, the Fixture Operations Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, mitigate risks, and implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance performance and service delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day operations at the assigned location, ensuring timely, accurate, and consistent delivery of all fixture operations products and services.
  • Own and drive operational excellence, ensuring output quality aligns with defined SLAs, KPIs, and overall business objectives.
  • Manage local resource planning, including identifying staffing needs, coordinating recruitment, and overseeing onboarding and training processes.
  • Monitor and address training gaps, performance issues, and process inefficiencies through structured performance management and coaching initiatives.
  • Translate strategic direction into actionable operational plans, in close partnership with the Head of Fixture Operations and relevant stakeholders.
  • Foster a high-performance team culture, promoting accountability, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement across all operational levels.
  • Lead proactive risk identification and mitigation efforts to ensure continuity and stability of operations during high-pressure or unexpected events.
  • Act as a point of escalation for complex operational issues, coordinating cross-functional resources to achieve timely and effective resolution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments (e.g., wider Operations, Tech, Commercial) to anticipate operational challenges and drive joint solutions.
  • Complete one-time tasks assigned by the line manager. 

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • 2+ years of experience in team/operations management, preferably in the sports data industry
  • Strong people management skills, including hiring, coaching, and performance development.
  • Performance management skills, with the ability to address underperformance and build high-performing teams.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills; data-driven decision maker.
  • Excellent organizational and planning abilities
  • Experience managing complex workflows, setting priorities, and ensuring delivery against service-level agreements (SLAs) and KPIs.
  • Proficiency in process design, workflow optimization, and service delivery models.
  • Ability to forecast staffing needs, plan resources effectively, and ensure coverage during high-demand periods or disruptions.
  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
