If you were the Fit & Pattern Specialist now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
- Leading the Fit and Pattern Block program, collaborating cross-functionally to ensure fit and layering theory is in alignment with guest and brand needs
- Collaborating with Design and Development teams to maintain the existing blocks and develop new blocks for seasonal and trend requirements
- Facilitating regular communication with Development teams to ensure consistent methods for patterning and new technical construction are observed
- Educating and supporting development teams on the blocks, fit theory and grading considerations across all product categories
- Supporting the communications between Merchandising, Compliance and Brand Marketing teams to ensure clear guest messaging on fit, sizing specs and layering approach is universally translated
- Supporting the Merchandising team in building size ranges and size equivalents in the system
- Supporting Design and Development teams to problem solve and evaluate consistency of fit in products, providing guidance and support for spec accuracy
- Partnering with Design and Product Development leaders to identify patternmaker education and training needs; developing and facilitating training programs
- Leveraging 3D modeling software and tension mapping to explore drafting theories with Advanced Concepts, Design, and Development teams
- Providing expert guidance of body shape and size for target market and regional variations
- Ensuring fit models and mannequins appropriately represent target figures
- Upholding Fair Labor Association’s Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing, throughout the Arc’teryx supply chain

Are you our next Fit & Pattern Specialist?
- You have 7+ years’ experience in production patternmaking, grading, and fitting
- You have an Undergraduate Degree in apparel design or other relevant field, equivalent industry training/certification or related business experience
- You have expert level knowledge of sizing, fitting and body shapes globally
- You have a strong knowledge of garment construction and CAD patternmaking
- You have intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office
- You are fluent in English and have exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- You have an extreme attention to detail
- You have strong interpersonal skills
- You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
- You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
- You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
