About the Role:
The First Nations Inclusion Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating initiatives that support the attraction, retention, engagement, and career development of First Nations employees across the Australian Lendlease business. The role contributes to the delivery of people outcomes aligned with Lendlease’s Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and broader inclusion strategy.
Working within the Talent Acquisition and Inclusion team, the position provides strategic and operational leadership in embedding culturally safe practices, developing and strengthening First Nations partnerships, and enhancing employment outcomes. The role also supports broader cultural diversity initiatives and contributes to the development of inclusive workplace policies and programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Development
Lead targeted recruitment strategies to attract First Nations talent across all levels.
Collaborate with Talent Acquisition Partners and hiring managers to ensure culturally appropriate and inclusive recruitment practices.
Lead activity and engagement with the CareerTrackers and NASCA program across Australia.
Employee Engagement & Pastoral Care
Support the engagement, development, and career progression of First Nations employees.
Provide culturally informed pastoral care and act as a trusted advisor for First Nations staff.
Partnerships & Community Engagement
Strengthen and manage relationships with First Nations organisations, community leaders, and service providers.
Represent Lendlease at First Nations events, forums, and networks to enhance visibility and engagement.
Support and enhance First Nations employment outcomes through co-designed programs and partnerships.
Strategy & Cultural Integration
Contribute to the implementation of Lendlease’s RAP and First Nations talent strategy.
Participate in the Elevate RAP working group and assist in planning significant cultural events throughout the year.
Provide expert advice on embedding First Nations perspectives into policies, programs, and decision-making.
Represent the voices of First Nations employees at the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council.
About You:
Identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and accepted by their community with a strong connection to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander culture.
Experience in supporting First Nations employees in workplace settings.
Ability to work independently as well as demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with supportive leaders/stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Collaborative team player with a proactive, can-do attitude.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and strategic mindset.
