About The Opportunity
Under the supervision of the Quality Supervisor, the First Article Associate is responsible for the First Article and sample program.
Essential Functions:
1. Reviews customer specifications and bill of materials (BOMs)
2. Reviews the production schedule to ensure that First Articles are built in a timely manner
3. Builds the First Articles (FA) as required to keep production running
4. Takes detailed set of jpegs for each new job’s First Article and files them in the appropriate customer folder in the Photos share drive
5. Send jpegs to appropriate Designers/SCPM’s for approvals
6. Maintains and cleans sample room
7. Logs new samples and discards samples exceeding the year above expiration
8. Prepares and sends client’s samples
9. Requests materials to build First Article
10. Creates additional reports are required or directed

2. Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business
3. Ability to work on a rotating shift as needed
4. Ability to effectively work in teams
5. Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people
6. Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles
7. Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with individuals associated with subject matter, as well as communicate findings to other quality representatives
8. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
9. Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple and/or complex/highly detailed tasks
10. Must be detail-oriented and pay close attention to accuracy
11. Ability to apply commonsense understanding and communicate accurately to carry out detailed instructions (both oral and written)
12. Ability to analyze information gathered in order to maintain accurate and detailed records using both computerized and manual means
13. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
14. Ability to communicate accurately, clearly and concisely in written, verbal and electronic formats
15. Ability to establish and maintain very effective relationships with those contacted in the course of work
16. Ability to read and write using the English language
17. Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, cGMP regulations, and Safety
18. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
19. Ability to work independently to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
20. Demonstrate flexibility and awareness of production
21. Bilingual speaker(Spanish/English) preferred
