We are looking for a Firmware System Engineer to develop and deliver robust, secure, and high-quality firmware solutions for NVIDIA’s next-generation product lines. Work closely with engineering, product management, and architecture teams to develop advanced NVIDIA networking and AI platforms. Your work will be key in ensuring a seamless, safe, and efficient firmware release process from development to mass production. The dynamic and fast-paced work environment will require you to excel in problem-solving and system-level debugging, all while fostering collaboration among exceptional engineers across NVIDIA's global sites.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Identify, diagnose, and addressing high-value problems during the product onboarding process, such as software compatibility, PCIe, security, network interoperability and communication issues between components

  • Verify that all integrated components interact as intended. This includes functional testing to ensure software components work correctly on various hardware testing platforms

  • Validate firmware features at hardware power-on stage

  • Bridge between software, architecture, HW and production engineering teams

What we need to see:

  • BS.c in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years of relevant experience and/or knowledge

  • Strong system-level understanding and hands-on lab experience

  • Programming knowledge in Python/C/C++ or Perl

  • Excellent interpersonal and intercultural skills, including written and verbal communication in English

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Knowledge in SW-HW interfaces, PCIe, memory subsystems, storage components, network applications, device drivers and real-time software

  • Deep understanding of computing architectures, hardware systems block diagrams and schematic sheets understanding

  • Previous roles in system validation positions or technical lead

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 124,000 USD - 195,500 USD for Level 2, and 152,000 USD - 218,500 USD for Level 3.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
