Emergency Response
- Respond to emergency situations in line with operational procedures to protect life and property.
- Perform firefighting, rescue, and lifesaving duties during major aircraft incidents or domestic incidents.
- Mobilise appropriate resources efficiently and safely.
- Maintain clear communication with Sector or Incident Command throughout incidents.
Operational Readiness

Minimum Requirements
- Minimum age: 18
- No previous Fire Service experience required (to qualify for government-funded training)
- Minimum of 2 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above, including Maths & English (desirable)
- Full UK Driving Licence (desirable)
- Ability to meet Fire Service medical standards (FireFit)
- Pass fitness, vertigo, claustrophobia, and medical assessments
- Satisfactory background and disclosure checks
Health & Fitness Assessments
You will need to meet the following as part of the selection process:
- Hearing test
- Lung function test
- Eye test (normal colour vision required)
- Physical fitness and strength assessments
- General medical evaluation
