POSITION SUMMARY
Oversee daily operations of the finned tube manufacturing area, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are met. This role leads production employees, coordinates workflow, and drives continuous improvement while maintaining compliance with company policies and safety standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Determinework procedures, prepare work schedules, andexpediteworkflow within theFintubedepartment
- Issue written and oral instructions.
- Assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
- Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of workers.
- Maintain harmony among workers and resolve grievances.
- Identifyemployees’ skills and develop them by coaching and counseling employees on a regular basis.
- Conduct annual performance review and provide continual feedback on both positive and negative performance.
- Conduct weekly safety meetings.
- Monitor quality of work performedin accordance withthe company’s Quality Plan.
- Plan daily, weekly,monthlyand quarterly productions to meet the completion dates asstatedonthe New Generation Operation Schedule (NGOS) report.
- Confer with managers in the shop to ensure coordination of other functions such as production, inventorymanagementand quality assurance.
- Supervise policy deployment in the areas of Lean Manufacturing techniques, quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, visualcontrolsand plant performance measures.
- Supervise the activities of thedepartmentunder the direction of the Plant Manager and follow established procedures and approved processes.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate departmental activities to fulfill sales orders, meet inventory requirements, andmeetdelivery dates.

REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES)
- Knowledge of fin tube or similar heat exchanger manufacturing processes, equipment, and materials.
- Skill in supervising hourly employees in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Ability to read and understand work instructions, drawings, and quality specifications.
- Skill in problem-solving, root cause analysis, and basic production metrics.
- Ability to communicate clearly, enforce policies consistently, and lead by example.
- Be flexiblein dealingwith change and be able to respond quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of all manufacturing methods, techniques, and related equipment. Ability toidentifyand resolvefinningmachineissues.
- Must be able to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
- Regularly communicate with maintenance staff about repair and maintenance needs on all equipment in the department.
- Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed; bring problems to the attention of the Safety Manager/Technician or HR Manager.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels)
- High school diploma or GEDrequired, associate degree or technical training in manufacturing, industrial technology, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in fin tube, heat exchanger, or similar metal fabrication processes.
- At least 1–3 years of supervisory or lead experience overseeing hourly production employees.
- Experience with safety programs, quality systems, and production scheduling in an industrial setting.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives are preferred.
