The Role
Flexera is seeking a seasoned FinOps Project Manager to lead the successful implementation of our FinOps solutions for enterprise customers. This role is critical in ensuring customer satisfaction, project delivery, and driving the adoption of Flexera’s FinOps capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of project management expertise, financial acumen, and a deep understanding of cloud environments.
The Product:
Flexera One offers a comprehensive approach to FinOps, facilitating collaboration between cloud governance teams and business units to optimize cloud spending. This includes identifying savings opportunities, implementing optimizations, and automating processes across the cloud environment.
Responsibilities
- Project Management: Oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
- FinOps Implementation: Lead complex FinOps projects, working closely with customers to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Team Management: Manage and mentor project teams, including internal resources and third-party partners, to ensure project success.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as their trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle.
- Financial Management: Develop and manage project budgets, track financial performance, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to ensure project success.
- Data Analysis: Leverage data and analytics to optimize project performance and identify improvement areas.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to the development and refinement of project management methodologies and best practices.
Requirements
- Proven track record in managing complex IT projects, preferably within the FinOps or cloud computing domain
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid)
- Deep knowledge of cloud computing environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and financial management principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address project challenges and drive solutions
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
- PMP or Agile certifications preferred
- Experience with Flexera One or similar cloud management platforms
- Knowledge of financial modeling and cost optimization techniques
- Understanding of data analytics and visualization tools
