- Enforces safety rules and reports all accidents to safety department
- Enforces all company standards and complies with company procedures
- Ensures that all team members are trained to effectively perform their job duties safely
- Participates in root-cause analysis and corrective-action processes to enhance safety, quality, and manufacturing processes
- Provides leadership and direction with emphasis on teambuilding through daily meetings
- Engages in teambuilding activities and fosters an encouraging atmosphere
- Embraces and educates employees on continuous-improvement culture
- Works side-by-side with new employees on training and development
- Participates in continuous-improvement activities
- Ensures all 5S and housekeeping requirements are being followed
- Updates QSDC and hour-by-hour charts
- Develops an efficient team which executes production requirements
- Maintains awareness of team member productivity and provides counseling as necessary
- Conducts succession planning to identify and train back-up team members
- Applies tool and leadership knowledge to improve business metrics
- Coordinates with material handlers for parts and tooling
- Reports to management team during GEMBA walk time
- Works with QC inspectors regarding quality concerns
- Coordinates with maintenance concerning inoperable equipment
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Demonstrated effective leadership capability
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- 1-2 years minimum of operations, process improvement or training experience
- Must have excellent organization skills, communication skills, and computer proficiency
