Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network (FiNet), the independent advisor channel within Wells Fargo Wealth & Investment Management, is seeking a Divisional Leader to lead and manage the Southeastern Division. The FiNet Divisional Leader will lead their team and be responsible for engagement, retention, growth and satisfaction of independent advisors and their practices in the division. The role will report to the National Head of FiNet Advisor Engagement & Growth.
This role will deliver a unique Relationship Manager model that involves a high level of proactive outreach with FiNet advisors and practices in his/her division. The Divisional Leader will lead the FiNet Advisor Engagement model for the Division through advisor and business owner engagement, regular travel to visit advisors and practices, divisional growth meetings, and regular proactive communication within the Division to drive advisor satisfaction and growth. The FiNet Divisional Leader will coordinate with various internal partners including National Sales, Recruiting, Supervision, Marketing and FiNet leadership. The Divisional Leader must live in the assigned division where he/she works.
In this role, you will:
- Lead a small team of FiNet Sr. Relationship Managers and a Divisional Business Manager.
- Own relationship management responsibilities for key FiNet practices within his/her division.
- Escalate and own issue resolution for all issues within his/her division.
- Responsible for engagement, retention, growth and satisfaction of advisors in your Division
- Deliver the FiNet Advisor Engagement model through Practice engagement, Minimum Contact standards, Practice engagement requirements and data driven accountability
- Support the training, rollout and communication of key strategic initiatives.
- Develop expertise in the Wells Fargo Advisors and FiNet platform, products and services.
- Lead engagement activities for the assigned territory including individual and small group meetings.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to interact with and influence key stakeholders.
- A solid understanding of the independent advisor market to include trends, technology, and opportunities and challenges business owners face.
- The ability to engage with business owners to understand their goals and objectives and then provide the support, counsel and resources of the firm to help them achieve their goals.
- A deep understanding of the investment, lending and technology resources of the firm.
- The ability to work within a complex matrix organization to build relationships and work collaboratively to achieve business outcomes.
- The ability to develop and guide talent and build a high performing team.
- 10+ years of Business Growth Strategy experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of management or leadership experience
- FINRA Series 7 and 63 and 65 or 66
- Superior conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to understand clients, define client needs, build trust, set and manage expectations.
- Experience in managing relationships at an executive level, preferably in a financial service-based business environment.
- Obtaining and/or maintaining appropriate Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) license(s) is required for ongoing employment in this position. FINRA Series 7 and 63 examinations, or equivalent must be completed within either a 90 or 180-day time period following commencement of employment, depending upon the number of license(s) needed if not immediately available to transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted. This will be communicated at time of offer acceptance. Compliance with state law registration and licensing requirements is mandatory. In addition to state registration and licensing requirements, specific product licenses or SAFE licensing may apply. Additional requirements include meeting enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards. Wells Fargo will initiate the FINRA licensing review process at the time of offer acceptance. For specific FINRA qualification exams obtained after 9/30/2018, the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam co-requisite is required
