Drive quality standards and outcomes: Own, monitor, and action your team's KPI outcomes, delivery targets, and quality benchmarks by implementing strategies to consistently elevate operational standards.
Decisive performance management: Proactively manage individual and team performance, providing clear, constructive feedback, and taking swift action to address underperformance or behavioural concerns.
Champion operational excellence: Oversee QC processes, sample selection, and task allocation, focusing on tactical execution to ensure timely, accurate, and impartial quality reviews.
Uphold rigorous standards: Be accountable for the quality and accuracy of your team's output, ensuring strict alignment with internal SLAs, operational procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Capacity planning and resource management: Manage volumes and team capacity to ensure comprehensive specialist coverage across fluctuating operational demands and SLAs.
Role model leadership: Set the highest standards for performance, diligence, and professional conduct, acting as a role model for your team and operational peers.
Stakeholder engagement and representation: Analyze quality trends, error root causes, and QC deliverables, effectively presenting insights and recommendations to operational stakeholders and leadership.
Complex case and escalation management: Serve as the primary escalation point for complex quality disputes, collaborating with operational teams to ensure effective resolution while maintaining the process standards and clear communication.
Risk identification and mitigation: Proactively identify operational quality control risks, process vulnerabilities, and systemic errors, contributing to the design and implementation of effective process improvements.
What we’re looking for:
Proven leadership experience (mandatory): 5+ years leading operational teams (preferably in quality control/assurance domain) in high-pressure, regulated environments with proven success in performance management, meeting strict deadlines, and driving quality framework implementation. Financial services/fintech background strongly preferred.
Exceptional performance management skills: Proven ability to set clear expectations, manage performance rigorously, coach for improvement, and address underperformance effectively.
Decisive and action-oriented: A proactive, results-driven leader who is not afraid to take charge, make tough decisions, and hold themselves and their team accountable to high standards.
Problem-solving and prioritization: Ability to multitask effectively, prioritize decisively under pressure, and take full ownership in challenging situations.
Confident and articulate communicator: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Ability to articulate complex issues clearly, present confidently, speak persuasively, and build strong working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Quality Control & Operations expertise (preferred): Deep understanding of QC methodology, sampling techniques, root-cause analysis, and process mapping in an operational setting.
Analytical and data-driven: Strong understanding of quality and operational metrics with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to drive team performance.
Adaptable and resilient: Willingness to learn, adapt to change, and maintain composure and effectiveness in a dynamic environment. Comfortable making decisions independently and taking ownership of those decisions.
Ownership and accountability: Proven track record of taking individual ownership, driving initiatives to completion, and being a strong team player.
Improvement mindset: Natural inclination to identify inefficiencies and drive improvements.
