We are currently looking for a Financial Team Leader
In this role, you will manage financial operations, including closing statements, cash flow, budgeting, and revenue recognition, while ensuring compliance with USGAAP and local regulations. The role involves supporting business areas with pricing and contracts, managing internal controls, and leading the finance team. This position requires strong leadership, financial expertise, and collaboration with external firms and headquarters.
As a Cognyter you will:
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of Financial Statements in accordance with Brazilian and American accounting practices (USGAAP)
- Review contracts and monitor revenue recognition (USGAAP)
- Manage cash flow and provide reports to headquarters
- Review and approve accounts payable
- Monitor transfer pricing practices
- Coordinate the budget preparation process and ensure timely revisions (forecast)
- Support business areas with pricing, cost reviews, and contracts, assisting in negotiations with customers
- Maintain internal control practices in compliance with current legislation, working with internal and external auditors
- Master the use of financial management systems provided by the company for financial planning, analysis, and control
- Coordinate the external accounting firm and advisors, ensuring timely submission of financial and tax statements to headquarters
- Supervise the finance team, reporting to the local Finance Manager
Requirements
For that mission you’ll need:
- Bachelor´s Degree in Finance area or related filed
- Fluent English
- Strong knowledge of MS Office tools (Advanced Excel)
- Oracle experience (desirable)
